“If you’re in the market for an RV, van conversions and/or rampvans this is the place. Helped a disabled friend purchase a rampvan from Jonathan and we were pleased with the variety that was displayed and the selection that we made. Would definitely do business with them again if the opportunity arises. I would also recommend this place to family and friends.”

New & used commercial wheelchair vans for sale
If you’re in need of a commercial van that is fully equipped, wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant, then you’ve come to the right place. Whether you’re looking for a single used wheelchair van or a fleet of commercial vehicles with the latest state-of-the-art mobility assistance equipment, we regularly stock various models, types and sizes of commercial mobility vans — at various price points.
Side-entry vs. rear entry wheelchair vans
One of the first decisions you’ll have to make if you’re in the market for a commercial wheelchair van is entry. Do you want passengers to access the vehicle from the side or rear? Side lifts and ramps are by far the most common of the two entry options since they make curbside parking easier, but they are also more expensive. Rear entry wheelchair vans, on the other hand, cost less and often have a lowered center area to maximize headroom, but wheelchair passengers won’t be able to ride upfront and will have to back up to exit the vehicle.
Automatic vs. manual wheelchair lifts
Next, you’ll need to decide which type of wheelchair lift or ramp you desire: automatic or manual. Unsurprisingly, manual lifts are the more affordable and low profile option, but having to manually operate the ramp to let passengers enter and exit the vehicle can be inconvenient, strenuous and time-consuming. Automatic wheelchair lifts — such as rotary lifts, hydraulic lifts, platform lifts and electric lifts — are much easier and more convenient, but the downsides are that they can be more costly and break down.
In-floor vs. fold-out ramps
Another important decision you’ll encounter when buying a commercial wheelchair van is whether you want the wheelchair ramp or lift to stow away under the floor of your wheelchair van or fold up next to the side of the closed door when not in use. In-floor ramps take up less space in the vehicle and look more appealing, but they can be more difficult to operate and may require more maintenance. Fold-out ramps, on the other hand, are less prone to breaking down and usually able to handle heavier weight. The downside is that fold-out ramps can be a hassle on uneven terrain and they take up space in the van interior.
Whether you’re looking for a single commercial wheelchair van or a fleet of fully-equipped mobility vehicles, Classic Vans has a great selection of new and used handicap-accessible vans for sale that are ADA compliant.
